Roxanne Benison, D.M.D., M.S.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide outstanding microscopic endodontic care in a caring and professional atmosphere utilizing state of the art equipment and materials supported by the most current research.

Dr. Roxanne Benison

After receiving her B.S. from the University of California - Riverside, Dr. Benison attended the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2001.  She pursued graduate training in endodontics and was awarded a certificate and a Master of Science in Dentistry (Research) in endodontics from the Graduate School at Saint Louis University.  Dr. Benison's masters research was in the field of endodontic pain control.  Since graduating, Dr. Benison has maintained a full-time specialty practice and teaches part-time in the Graduate Endodontic program at Saint Louis University.

A licensed specialist in the State of Illinois, Dr. Benison is also a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and Illinois Endodontic Asociation as well as a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Madison District Dental Society.  In addition to being a member of several endodontic study clubs, Dr. Benison annually attends multiple continuing education courses.

Dr. Benison has been named as a Top Dentist by St. Louis Magazine 2019 and for the past 6 years!

Dr. Tara Habibi, D.M.D.

Dr. Habibi grew up in Springfield, Illinois and attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 2014. In 2016, she completed a Master of Science in Public Health at Southern Illinois University in Springfield. She received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree at Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 2020, graduating magna cum laude. While in dental school, she was accepted into the Dean’s Student Research Fellowship program and received the Keith W. and Peggy G. Dickey Scholarship Award. In 2020, she continued her training at SIU School of Dental Medicine in the Graduate Endodontic program. Throughout her professional education, she completed research in the topic of dental infection control that was published in the Journal of Education and Training Studies in July 2022. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, swimming, yoga, traveling, and food adventures!

Dr. Habibi’s goal as an endodontist is to provide a comfortable experience for patients seeking to retain their natural teeth. She is passionate about her career, and is excited to see how recent advancements in endodontics are transforming the field and patients’ experience.
